As I burnt-out triathlete, I turned to Yoga over 20 years ago. I started to practise Iyengar Yoga with Bodywise at The Manchester Buddhist centre and in 2001 I completed Yoga level 1 and 2 with Christine Hewitt.

By chance I stumbled across an Ashtanga Yoga class been taught by Granville Cousins after winning free entry passes into David Lloyd in a triathlon. I have practised Ashtanga ever since.

In 2003 I completed a two-day freestyle Yoga course for fitness professionals allowing me to teach Yoga in health clubs and gyms.

In 2007 I took a Yoga-bugs course and taught this alongside rebound therapy for young people with severe learning difficulties.

I’ve attended workshops by Kino MacGregor, Manju Jois, Matt Ryan and Tim Miller and I regularly practise Mysore under instruction from Donna Southwell and Vicki Shields.

I started practising Bikram Yoga in 2014 after a cycling accident and in 2017 I passed my 200hr TT with Yoga Manchester, registered with the Yoga Alliance and IYN with a focus on Yoga motion and Yoga for sports.

I teach a number of classes throughout the Greater Manchester area, including a weekly class for pupils and teachers in a PRU for young people with social, emotional and mental health needs.

I am delighted to be joining Hot Lotus and look forward to introducing Rocket Yoga to the studio.
