🌿 About Heidi – Founder of Hot Lotus Wellbeing Hub

I’m the founder of Hot Lotus Wellbeing Hub, a leading hot yoga and Pilates studio in Stockport, serving the wider Manchester community, and I am incredibly proud of what we have built—not just a studio, but a supportive, inclusive community that goes far beyond the classes themselves.

While our Bikram Yoga (Hot Yoga 26) and Inferno Hot Pilates classes are at the heart of what we do—and truly deliver incredible results—Hot Lotus has always been about something bigger. It’s about creating a space where people feel welcome, supported, and empowered to become the strongest, healthiest version of themselves.

🔥 My Journey into Hot Yoga & Pilates

My journey into yoga started later in life. As someone who has always been passionate about fitness, I initially turned to yoga to help manage stress and recover from a running injury. After just one class, I was hooked.

Hot Yoga quickly became a transformative part of my life, both physically and mentally. I went on to complete my Bikram Yoga teacher training in Thailand, an intensive 500-hour programme, and began teaching in studios across Manchester and Leeds from 2015.

Alongside this, I trained in Inferno Hot Pilates in the USA, becoming one of the first instructors to bring this powerful hot Pilates and HIIT workout to the UK. I was proud to introduce Inferno Hot Pilates to Stockport when I launched Hot Lotus in 2017.

My continued training has included Aerial Yoga, Barre, and Pregnancy Yoga, allowing me to offer a wide range of classes that support people at every stage of their journey.

💪 A Personal Journey of Strength & Resilience

Hot Yoga and Pilates have not only shaped my career—they’ve supported me personally in ways I could never have imagined.

Living with congenital hip dysplasia, these practices have helped me build strength, stability, and resilience, allowing me to reach my own physical potential. The challenging but adaptable nature of our classes means they truly work for every body.

They have also played a huge role in my recovery after surgery, helping me bounce back to health quickly and safely.

As a woman going through menopause, I’ve experienced first-hand how powerful these practices can be—helping to regulate body temperature, manage mood swings, reduce stress, and ease many of the symptoms that come with this stage of life.

This is why I’m so passionate about sharing what we do—because I know how life-changing it can be.

❤️ Building a Community That Matters

When I launched Hot Lotus in 2017, my goal was simple—to make hot yoga and Pilates accessible in Stockport and create a space where everyone feels they belong. What started with a mobile inflatable dome quickly grew into a full-time studio at Pear Mill, driven entirely by word of mouth and the incredible people who walk through our doors.

Over the past 8 years, we’ve not only helped thousands of people improve their health, fitness, and confidence, but we’ve also built a strong, connected community.

Giving back is a huge part of what we do. Together with our members, we’ve raised thousands of pounds for charitable causes, including Brain Tumour Research, Alzheimer’s Society, and The Together Trust. Supporting our local and wider community is something I care deeply about.

🌟 What Drives Me

I am passionate about teaching, but even more passionate about helping others overcome challenges—whatever they may be. Whether someone walks into the studio looking to get fitter, recover from injury, manage stress, or simply take time for themselves, it’s a privilege to be part of that journey.

The joy comes not just from the classes, but from seeing people grow in confidence, build strength, and realise what they are capable of.

Hot Lotus is more than a studio—it’s a place to reset, reconnect, and feel your best, and I’m so proud of what we have created together as a team and community.
