John Ross

I started practicing yoga over ten years ago, attending a class once or twice a week. I was soon hooked – seeing both the physical benefits as well as the positive impact it had on my mental health.

I signed up for Hot Lotus’ famous intro offer 2 weeks before the first Covid-19 lockdown.  I thought my dream of practising yoga more regularly was shattered but nothing could be further from the truth!  I found myself pracitising every day, with the live streamed Hot 26 and inferno pilates classes providing me with that very much needed way of dividing my day between working from home and settling in for yet another quiet night in!  I was desperate to get into the studio once classes resumed and worked as part of the studio’s karma yogi team for a couple of years.

In 2022 I decided to make the long awaited leap into teaching, completing a 200hr multi-style yoga teacher training course as well as yin yoga training followed by my 26:2 Hot Yoga training through the Hot Yoga Academy based in Barcelona.

I still like to get on the mat as much as possible, nothing quite beats getting to a yoga studio and leaving the outside world on the other side of the door!  I find that it doesn’t matter how tired or low you might feel, you are guaranteed to feel better by the time you get to the end of a yoga or pilates class!
