John Ross

I started practising yoga over 10 years ago, initially attending classes once or twice a week. It didn’t take long before I was hooked—experiencing not only the physical benefits of yoga, but also the powerful positive impact it had on my mental health and overall wellbeing.

My journey with Hot Lotus Wellbeing Hub in Stockport began just two weeks before the first Covid-19 lockdown, when I signed up for their intro offer. I thought my plans to practise more regularly had come to an abrupt end, but in reality, it was just the beginning. Through live-streamed Bikram Yoga (Hot Yoga 26) and Inferno Hot Pilates classes, I found myself practising every day. It became an essential part of my routine—helping me structure my days while working from home and supporting both my physical strength and mental resilience.

As soon as the studio reopened, I was eager to return to the hot yoga studio and became part of the Hot Lotus karma yogi team, deepening my connection with the studio and its supportive community.

In 2022, I took the step into teaching, completing my 200-hour multi-style yoga teacher training, followed by Yin Yoga training, Inferno Hot Pilates training, and my 26:2 Hot Yoga (Bikram Yoga) training through the Hot Yoga Academy in Barcelona. I have also recently completed a Thai Yoga Massage course, further expanding my knowledge of movement, recovery, and bodywork.
