Inferno Hot Pilates

Imported from the US, Inferno Hot Pilates (Inferno Hot HIIT) is a fun and challenging, full body, low impact workout using Pilates principles and High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT). It combines cardio and muscle toning in a heated room and is performed on a yoga mat and towel.

HIIT keeps your heart rate up, helping burn fat and calories, and increase fitness levels without the pounding of a high-impact workout. Hot Lotus was the first studio to offer Inferno Hot Pilates in the UK and classes in the heated dome have proved highly popular and there is often a waiting list. We are really excited have this class in the new Hot Lotus studio – we offer many more classes, so there is no need to miss out.

You’ll notice how quickly you’ll improve within just a few short sessions! The fun yet challenging session feels like it’s over in the blink of an eye, but you’ll know you’ve just done something amazing for your body and mind and will soon feel muscles developing and your body toning beautifully!

This dynamic workout is designed specifically for the hot room and done to a motivating, energetic music soundtrack designed to lift you to new levels! Be prepared to work up a serious sweat and expect to burn 600-1000 calories in one session.

Body Control Pilates

At Hot Lotus we will be offering mat-based Body Control Pilates classes from early 2019.* Lynne Robinson founded Body Control Pilates in 1995 to share the Joseph Pilates method.

She has become a leading figure in the Pilates movement, described by the Observer as ‘the undisputed First Lady of Pilates’.

What makes Body Control Pilates different?

Pilates is a body-conditioning method that works in a different way to other fitness techniques. Targeting the deep postural muscles, it works by building strength from the inside out, rebalancing the body and bringing it into correct alignment.

It helps to reshape your body which will become longer, leaner and more toned. It will also improve your posture, achieving the perfect balance between strength and flexibility, plus it’s a great way to relieve unwanted stress and tension.

The core of the method is ‘awareness of your own body’ and each and every exercise is built around its eight key principles:

Classes can be tailored to different levels of ability from complete beginners and those who are rehabilitating to those who want to challenge their bodies with targeted exercises to improve core strength, lengthen and tone muscles and posture.

Mummies Matter Pilates

Mummies Matter offers physiotherapy-led Pilates classes for mums during pregnancy and postnatal.

If you are looking for a small, relaxed class with a specialist physiotherapist, that is what this class offers. All the exercises are safe for you at your specific time of pregnancy and post baby.

These classes are suitable for new mums after their 6-8 week postnatal check up with their GP. It is also suitable for mums further down the postnatal journey too who would like to improve their strength and endurance and get back into exercise.

These classes focus on the pelvic, abdominal and gluteal muscles, and offer safe exercises for mum. Babies (non-crawling) are welcome to attend the daytime classes.

Diastasis Recti (tummy gap) assessment will be offered to each mum on their first session with professional advice about what level they can safely work at.

The fabulous thing with this class is you can bring your baby – so no need to worry about childcare.

Susie Rasul is the teacher and she is a physiotherapist who specialises in women’s health. She also has a clinic on a Wednesday in our lovely studio and offers a range of physio and massage treatments.

The cost of the sessions is £7 for a trial. £42 for a block of 6, and she offers a discount for planned holidays.
